NokiaStory: 15 Nokia phones India will always remember

For well over a decade, Nokia was synonymous with
the mobile phone across most of the world. We
loved our old Nokia phones and for most of us it
was the first mobile brand. Nokia phones were
popular for its reliability, battery life and of course
some of the models were good enough to be
projectiles.

People loved the fact that a Nokia phone could
easily last for over three years. However, this was
not something Nokia might have actually wanted, as
it lowered the refresh cycle ultimately hampering
sales growth.

This is not the story anymore. With smartphones
coming into the picture, there is nothing called a
single favourite brand in the country. Also, after
Microsoft acquired the brand, it is now officially
dropping the Nokia tag.

Did you own any of these handsets? Or, did we just
miss your favourite Nokia phone? Feel free to share

The Tata AirPod : India's tiny air-powered prototype car ( the car that runs with air )

Gasoline is already the fuel of the past
The search is on, but what will this fuel of the future be?

Air? At first glance, the idea of running a car on air
seems almost too good to be true. If we can use air as
fuel, why think about using anything else? Air is all
around us. Air never runs out. Air is nonpolluting. Best
of all, air is free.

Zero Pollution Motors, LLC predicts air compression.

Unfortunately, air alone can't be used as a fuel. First,
energy has to be stored in it by squeezing the air tightly
using a mechanical air compressor. Once the
compressed air is released, it expands. This expanding
air can be used, for example, to drive the pistons that
power an engine. The idea of using compressed air to
power a vehicle isn't new: Early prototypes of an air-
powered vehicle go back to the middle of the 19
century, even before the invention of the internal
combustion engine.

The AIRPod vehicle, developed by MDI (www.mdi.lu),
is the solution to urban pollution and urban mobility.
With its small size, a tiny price, zero pollution, and a
fun and futuristic design, AIRPod marks a turning
point in the range of urban vehicles. It is a real
breath of fresh air in cities and the prelude to travel
without pollution.

Using a special prototype, Tata have announced that
they were able to boost the existing range of the vehicle,
and it can now reportedly travel as much as 200 km or
125 miles, before needing to be recharged. Despite being
cheap and very efficient to run (only costs the equivalent
of 3 Euro Cents per mile), it will be a joystick-driven
modern machine, which has a top speed of 80 km/h

Tata seems to be avoiding giving an exact date for when
the car is to be launched, but since the technology itself
is very simple, and India needs a cheap and
revolutionary form of transportation, they`d better do it
sooner rather than later. However, with an expected
price of around €7,000, for what is basically a 300 kg
covered motorcycle, some may find it a tad on the
expensive side.

Main advantages:

Its lightweight design (just under 300kg) means it will
require less raw materials and energy to manufacture
than a standard compact;

Zero emissions from driving;

At just 7,000 euros, it will be considerably cheaper to
buy than most battery-powered cars;

Refueling can be done at home using the car’s inbuilt air
compressor (3.5 hours) or at service stations (3 minutes);

Low running costs: approximately 18 kilowatt hours per
charge, which, at a rate of 20 euro cents per kWh
equates to 3.60 euros per charge/125 miles;

The energy required for compressing air is produced at
large centralized plants, making it less costly and more
effective to manage carbon emissions than from
individual vehicles;

Low maintenance costs as it doesn’t require a cooling
system, spark plugs, starter motor, mufflers, etc;

The rate of self-discharge is very low compared to
batteries that deplete their charge slowly over time.

Therefore, the vehicle may be left unused for longer
periods of time than electric cars;

Reduction or elimination of hazardous chemicals such
as gasoline or battery acids/metals;

Disadvantages:

Like battery-powered cars, compressed air-powered cars
like the Airpod require electrical energy to ‘re-fuel’ in
terms of the electricity needed to run its compressor.
Current research suggests that the Airpod will use about
twice as much electricity in this way as a battery-
powered car of a comparable size;

Relatively low efficiency in terms of energy conversion.
The overall efficiency of a vehicle using compressed air
energy storage is in the 5 – 7% range compared to the
‘well to wheel’ efficiency of conventional internal
combustion engines at about 14%;

Backed by Kapil Dev, new social gamified platform lets you win points by participating in games on the platform.

Cricket legend Kapil Dev today launched SloPho, a
new social gamified collaboration platform.
Available on desktop and mobile platforms, SloPho
is aimed at end users as well as corporate.
Through Slopho, users can earn points by
participating in games, contests, polls and
quizzes. Earned points can be redeemed or
transferred/gifted as prizes or bartered for
advertising space on the platform.

Slopho gives users own page where they can
control their followers, segment them into various
categories as friends, family and colleagues
among others; to share text, pictures and video.
Users can also monetize their page by allowing
advertising on it. They have the option to follow
and unfollow a brand, share information across
other social networking sites from their SloPho
page.

For businesses, the SloPho platform lets them
target campaigns by region and language. They
can put up gamified promotions and access
analytics data for better monitoring campaign
success rates.

SloPho will be soon available in three Indian
languages - Hindi, Gujarati and Tamil. It will also
be extended in markets countries such as UAE
and Africa.

Speaking at the launch, Kapil Dev, Co-owner and
Promoter said, “With SloPho, we want to give
users, corporates and professionals, a social
platform that not only fulfils their need to connect
and collaborate, but also earn rewards for it in a
way that matters most to them.”

He added, “This social platform is truly for
everyone and is our contribution to the Prime
Minister’s Make in India initiative. Our aim is to
take it to every smartphone user, corporate and
professional in the country and then internationally
by providing ease of use, accessibility on
smartphone OS platform as well as availability in
different languages. Since mobile is fast becoming
the preferred mode of internet access, we built the
final product as a mobile application. We believe
the mobile application will help us achieve our
target of atleast 5-6 million users and 25 large
corporates in the first year.”

“We created a desktop version to beta test the
concept first among evolved Internet users. We
tested it for over a year and the results were
amazing. The daily average time spent by a user
was an hour and 15 minutes. We took it to a few
corporates like Airtel Nigeria and Dhampur Sugar
that ran promotions and were happy with the
results. Today, with the launch of mobile app we
believe not only will time spent by users increase
significantly but it will also allow corporates and
professionals to reach out and engage a much
larger connected base of users,” said Aman
Sahani, Co-Founder and CEO, SloPho.com.

The Best Ever 200 Kissing Styles One Should Never Miss Trying These

:Kissing is an art in itself, The Kamasutra recognized
its power to express feelings, emotions and passions.
Therefore, describes in detail the kisses and the
occasions to be used each of them.

A kiss itself combines three senses: taste, touch and
smell. If each direction separately, is able to produce a
strong emotional reaction, the three of us can be
transported to seventh heaven.:-)

Every type of kiss expresses a uniquely different
emotion, from the deeply passionate french kiss to a
tender kiss on the nose. Knowing the right type of kiss
for any occasion can help you master the art of the
'instant message' between you and the ones you love.
We've compiled our own Top 10 list of the most popular
and romantic types of kisses found on planet earth.

Top 10 Most Popular Types of Kisses

1. The Lingering Lip Kiss is an original closed-mouth
classic that should last longer than :10 seconds without
any need for tongue. Research claims that three
passionate kisses a day (of at least 20 seconds each)
will cause you to loose an entire extra pound. So let
those kisses linger.

2. A French Kiss is considered the most erotic kiss of
all. It's a passionate kiss reserved for lovers. Kissing
with the tongue stimulates your partner's lips, tongue
and mouth. When performed correctly a french kiss is
art. If not it can become a real sloppy mess.

3. The Cheek Kiss is used as a friendly greeting. It's
also become a popular "I really like you" kiss used by
couples when taking photos. Cheek-kissing is the perfect
way to express tender affection. Be sure that your cheek
kiss is not delivered wet. That's just gross.

4. The Nose Kiss means that you're the object of
committed affection. A kiss on the nose is extremely
sweet and can be a key trigger in sparking instant
romance or fanning the flames of love.

5. The Peck is a quick, tight-liped social kiss delivered
on the cheek or lips as an expression of friendship. If
you never get past the peck, it's over man. Let her go as
a potential lover.

6. Blowing A Kiss can be sexy, playful or completely
innocent depending upon the way it's delivered. Be sure
to keep your mouth clear of any food and debris or this
kiss can quickly turn ugly.

7. The Forehead Kiss is a sweet and innocent starter kiss
for the painfully shy, or it can be the kiss that means
you're "just friends". It's good to learn the difference.
When planted correctly the forehead kiss can also be
given as comforting affection.

8. Upside-Down Kiss is a playful choice that conveys
deliberate affection and a willingness to get the romance
cooking. This type of kiss came to life in the 2002
"Spiderman" movie, when Tobey Maguire (Spiderman)
and Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane) pulled off an epic upside-
down kiss in the rain. A safe way to perform this kiss is
side-by-side lying down in the green grass.

9. The Eskimo Kiss is performed nose-to-nose with a
slight side-to-side rubbing motion. It's a common kiss
used by parents and children as a loving sign of
affection. But couples can use Eskimo kisses as the
perfect lead in to a meaningful Lingering Lip kiss.

10. The Hand Kiss conveys kindness, respect and
adoration. Gently grasp the reciever's hand by the
fingers and kiss the back of their hand. Be sure to never
kiss their palm or suck on individual fingers.

a suggestion that there is to be much more
smooching in our future."

your mouth.

Scientists want torecharge your phone with urine

It's a liquid gold rush! Scientists find yet another
way to power our smartphones
The next time your smartphone battery dies, running
over to the rest room and relieving yourself might allow
you to recharge your phone. This is no joke. In Britain,
scientists have discovered a way to power smartphones
using urine
 http://dd508hmafkqws.cloudfront.net/sites/default/files/styles/article_node_view/public/Bristol%20university.jpg

Worldwide there are over 2.5 billion people without
access to safe sanitation. In attempt to address this
need The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is funding
research on the topic: ‘Create the Next Generation of
Sanitation Technologies’. As part of the Grand
Challenges Exploration Scheme (Round 7) the Intelligent
Bio Energy Group were awarded a Phase-I grant for the
project 'Urine-tricity: electricity from urine'.
Urine-tricity successfully demonstrated the charging of a
commercially available mobile phone, using Microbial
Fuel Cells (MFCs) fed with real neat urine. Urine-tricity+
+ follows on as Phase II of the project, with the aim to
develop MFCs into a mature sustainable energy
technology with a direct application in everyday life that
could change the way people perceive waste and energy.
The proposed work is all about electricity generation,
whilst cleaning the urine ‘fuel’ and producing clean
water in addition to fertilizer, and is focusing on small-
scale MFC units, which have been shown to be more
efficient and energy-dense. The continuous flow nature
of the MFC technology facilitates continuous growth of
the constituent biofilm organisms, which clean the input,
and can be subsequently used as fertilizer. In essence,
the more powerful the MFC is, the greater are the rates
of urine utilization.
